However, Shrewsbury in its own right has in excess of 800 properties protected under Listed Building Status. Of which, 14 are Grade I, 71 Grade II* and the remainder Grade II. 

It is suggested that the high street has the highest density of listed buildings for its linear distance than any other location within the UK!

We also have a UNESCO World Heritage site, right out on our doorstep.
